Introduction
The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), a national leader in scientific research and development, located midway between Baltimore and Washington, DC is seeking a RF/Microwave Engineer.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test RF/microwave communication systems for spacecraft and RF ground support equipment. Design, develop, and test RF ground support equipment for spacecraft including transmitting systems, receiving systems, and associated control software. Design, develop, and test microwave and RF components and systems such as amplifiers, filters, transmitters, and receivers for spacecraft and ground applications. Perform system engineering and analysis for communications and radar systems. Document work.
Qualifications
Required: BS degree in electrical engineering with emphasis in electromagnetics, RF/microwave circuit design, radio engineering, and communication systems engineering. A person possessing leadership qualities and high academic credentials. Familiarity with engineering software such as Matlab, Mathematica, and/or Agilent/ADS. Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
Desired: MS degree in electrical engineering. Experience/interest in digital signal processing. A highly motivated, exceptionally talented electrical engineer.
