Director-Pulmonary Services Opportunity In Beautiful York, PA
About the Position
This position will have responsibility for leading and directing the management activities of the Pulmonary Services Departments throughout WellSpan Health. This position with have an emphasis on providing strategic direction, assuring quality patient care, cost effectiveness and customer service. The Director will evaluate programs, treatment and reporting methods of the department; introduce new techniques, equipment and research findings to the staff; and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards. As a strategic leader within the service line, this position will integrate with York Hospital, Gettysburg Hospital, the WellSpan Medical Group and the WellSpan Ambulatory Services division.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following duties:
- Provides leadership and works collaboratively in all areas of Pulmonary Services through out WellSpan Health.
- Directs and coordinates administrative and technical functions and activities of the organization.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.
- Assists in marketing current and new facets of the service.
- Collaborates with clinical areas such as patient care units and screens staff to ensure quality care.
- Monitors program activities and physician participation, recording and reporting statistical data, including financial data, to determine levels of participation and identify areas for improvement.
- Develops and implements professional and public education programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Master’s Degree in Business/Healthcare Administration preferred
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, managerial, financial and computer skills
- 3 - 5 years experience, including strategic management
- Healthcare leadership experience
- Clinical experience in Pulmonary Services preferred, but not required.

Required Skills
Bachelors degree; Masters degree in business/healthcare preferred; Technically proficient in the use of computer systems and the development of strategic and business plans; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Experience
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in a healthcare leadership role, including strategic management; Clinical experience in Pulmonary Services preferred, but not required.
