Description:
Certified Vocational Evaluator (CVE) required for immediate full-time Job Opening at England & Associates in St. Petersburg, Florida. The CVE will assume responsibility for 30- 40 hours of Vocational Evaluation Testing. The CVE will administer Vocational Testing for contract referrals from Florida DVR, Bureau of Rehabilitation & Reemployment Services, and private litigated referrals. Private sector referrals include: Longshore & Harbor Workers Act, Florida Workers Compensation, Long-Term Disability, Jones Act, Personal Injury, and Family Law.
Employee will report to the Director of Rehabilitation Services, Bill R. England, MS, CRC, CDMS, CCM. The Employee will have a private office, with access to a conference room for Vocational Testing of Clients. The firm has recently expanded office space in a medical building near St. Petersburg General Hospital. The firm expects to expand current office space at the same location to accommodate Vocational Testing Services, Social Security Ticket To Work Clients and Placement Services. An expansion of 600 square feet to the existing office space is currently planned. The current suite of 5 offices and Conference Room are on the ground floor with wheel chair access and sliding glass doors for disability Clients.

The CVE / Rehabilitation Counselor will counsel individuals to maximize the independence and employability of persons coping with personal, social, and vocational difficulties that result from birth defects, illness, disease, accidents, or the stress of daily life. Coordinate activities for residents of care and treatment facilities. Assess client needs and design and implement rehabilitation programs that may include personal and vocational counseling, training, and job placement.
