Job Title: TRANSITION SERVICES DIRECTOR
Job Description: Establishes relationships with Westchester County high schools special education personnel to identify and assist students during their transition years. Provide information, technical assistance and support to school staff to assist individuals and families in the transition process. Establishes relationships with transition-age students and families and provide assistance, support and referrals to guide them through the transition process and help them become familiar with the Arc of Westchester Services. Act as a leadership staff for all agency outreach and programs specifically directed to transition-age students and families. Requires a Bachelors degree in Human Services, education or related field; Masters degree is preferred. Requires minimum 3 years experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults with IDD and families. A valid NYS drivers license and reliable vehicle are also required. Experience in staff training, marketing, public presentations, outreach to community based organizations is highly preferred.
