Position Overview:
Weekend on-call Radiology Technician.
The Radiology Technician performs diagnostic radiology procedures in a hospital setting. Performs other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Assess the patient ordered examination(s) pre and post exam preparation education and scheduling. Performs diagnostic procedures according to protocol.
· Promotes and supports all Wamego City Hospital standards of quality customer service.
· Promotes continuous quality improvement in operations and in job performance
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Must be ARRT or ASRT registered.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1 to 3 years experience in a hospital setting required.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Ability to read and comprehend procedural documents and alphabetize or place documents in numerical order. Moderate writing and computer skills are required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to push and pull heavy equipment, and regularly lift up to 25 lbs. May be required to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. Some bending and stooping and standing for extended periods of time.
