Position Overview:
Assist the department director to maintain and support the hospital information systems with special emphasis on the Order Entry Nursing and other Clinical modules. The hospital information systems include the main system (Meditech) various networks of PCs printer video display terminals networking components and software.
Essential Job Functions:
* Maintain and support the hospital information systems.
* Promote and support Wamego City Hospital Standards of Performance.
Education Requirements: Current Kansas RN or LPN license.
Experience Requirements: 2 or more years of nursing experience in a patient care setting required (prefer acute care experience).
Experience with Meditech system preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of telecommunications and system networking fundamentals preferred. Computer skills or experience in word processing spread sheet and database applications. Excellent oral and written communication must be demonstrated.
Physical Requirements: Light work (maximum 35 lbs.). Walking or standing to a significant degree, sitting most of the time, pushing/pulling/leg arm controls. Hearing or accommodations provided to be able to answer and converse on the phone and communicate with others. Vision, near vision acuity or accommodations required to read both typed and handwritten documents and operate equipment safely and accurately.
