Description:
The University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, requests nominations and applications for the position of Assistant to the Dean for the Fay Jones School of Architecture.
The Assistant to the Dean will support and report to the the Dean and the Director of Development in the Fay Jones School of Architecture, including oversight of the University’s Academic Policy Series, school calendar, staff development, Affirmative Action procedures, advertising and hiring of new positions, and new employee orientation. Will be the liaison to the University of Arkansas Foundation for the School. This position works with alumni and constituents of the School, Development Office and University’s administration as well as department heads and directors of the School’s Departments of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Community Design Center, Student Services, Garvan Woodland Gardens and C. Murray Smart Media Center.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong communications skills: written, verbal, listening
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Three to five years of University of Arkansas Experience
• Familiarity with the University’s specific software, Basis, Advance, Blackbaud, PeopleAdmin, Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Windows applications
