Job Description:
- You will lead team of antenna engineers focused on the capturing and executing Satellite Communications Antenna programs within the Antenna and Video Technologies Business unit.
- You will provide leadership, knowledge, business opportunities, strategies, competitive intelligence, market and legislative forecasts commensurate with our financial and strategic plans relative to the purpose noted above.
- Fostering innovative design approaches and rapid prototyping within our group’s procedures and policies.
- Coordinate customer contacts with key government and Industry Communication customers including Air Force Research Lab (AFRL), NASA, SMC as well as other government laboratories.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- BS degree in a related field, plus 15 or more years experience in defense or related industry. Completion of MS and PhD degrees preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in communication system design as well as knowledge of line of sight and satellite communication system networks, waveforms and protocols.
- Strong communication signal theory background and the ability to flow down system requirements to antenna system requirements and project antenna system performance.
- Experience with active RF electronics design is desired.
- Demonstrated business developmental skills and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Demonstrated experience in leading design teams and new business capture activities
- Must be a superb presenter with documented presentation experience to senior decision making and technical audiences
- Strong written and proposal skills. Candidate will be responsible for developing technical response to customer request for proposals.
- Must have demonstrated excellent leadership and interpersonal skills in relevant business environments
- Influencing, communication and team skills will be critical to successful execution of the duties of the position
- In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level should be considered. Each higher level degree, i.e. Master's degree or Ph.D. may substitute for two years of experience.
- Two years of experience may be substituted for each year of education.
