Job Location: Budd Lake, New Jersey
Salary:
Salary range $110,000 to $130,000 potential bonus 10% / Excellent client, first class benefits and relocation assistances program, outstanding growth opportunity.

General Responsibilities of Position
• Interface with the customer and shape opportunities, taking into account requirements, existing capabilities and funding availability
• Develop and maintain productive business relationships with relevant current and potential organizations, partner companies and suppliers
• Act as the primary contact for customer inquiries, general correspondence, requests for technical and pricing data, and other business transactions
• Assist in proposal development
• Identify Space/Navigation and adjacent business opportunities and establish the strategy for capturing those opportunities
• Activities include: market development, opportunity qualification, customer relationship management, competitive intelligence, development of position-to-win strategies, customer analysis, competitor assessment, strategy development, etc
• Provide leadership for our business development area and through customer communications, reports and visits associated with business opportunities
Key Success Factors: (Specific expectations during next 4-6 months)
• Identify one new opportunity for Gate 1 approval within 6-9months
• Successfully lead and manage capture process to a bid submittal within 12-18 months
• Achieve new business award(s) within 2 years
Skills
Basic Requirements: (*)
• Experience in Control Systems Technology
• Project Management skills, Presentation/PowerPoint skills,
• Recent exposure to capture experience in Business Development for DoD &/or International programs
Position Specific Requirements:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Execution and results orientated: deal closer
• Knowledge of US Government & International contracting trends
• Experienced with the life cycle of a business opportunity – from market development to program implementation
Preferred:
• Experience in Space and Navigation products and services areas
• Technical knowledge of Inertial devices for DOD and Space
• Detailed competitive intelligence demonstrated skills
Experience/Education
Required:
• Degree in Business or Engineering
• 10+ years of business development and/or operational experience
• Complete understanding of the Department of Defense budgeting
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
• Team Player – effective at organizing and motivating a diverse set of individuals in pursuit of common objectives
• Deal closer – highly effective at bringing tasks and projects to a successful and timely conclusion and demonstrated growth sales growth
Preferred:
• Degree in Business and Engineering
• 15+ years of business development and/or operational experience
• In depth customer knowledge and proven capture success in DoD control technology applications
