Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position. 

The QC Technician conducts pre-pour and post-pour inspections to ensure that concrete products conform to specified tolerances and meet aesthetic requirements. Our QC Tech is also responsible for coordinating batch plant operations as well as general cleaning of mixer and work area daily.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Material testing
  • Pre/Post pour checks
  • Concrete batch testing
  • Coordinates batch plant operations
  • Thorough record keeping to maintain plant certification NPCA, etc.)
  • Notate any nonconforming items and notify proper personnel to bring product into conformance
  • Inspect final products, note any nonconformances and notify production management. Submit all nonconformance requiring rework to Engineering for repair detail or approval as is
  • Complete all applicable QC reports on QC Tablet
  • General labor & batch plant upkeep (pushing wheel barrel, cleaning concrete mixing barrels, etc.)
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor or lead

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma; Associates Degree is preferred
  • ACI Field Tech Level 1 Certification required
  • SCDOT and NCDOT Tech Certification is highly preferred
  • NPCA, PQS, GADOT, TDOT, VDOT Certification is highly preferred
  • Must possess a minimum of 1 – 3 (+) years of related work experience in a similar environment
  • Must have, or be prepared to develop, basic knowledge of precast/prestress manufacturing and field operations processes and limitations
  • The ability to speak effectively before groups of employees is needed
  • Local candidates are strongly desired; relocation assistance is NOT available for this position
