“Machine Learning Engineer” sought by Spryte Medical, Inc. (“Spryte” or “Spryte Medical”), headquartered at 4 Crosby Drive, Suite 4.2, Bedford, MA USA, 01730. Spryte headquarters would also serve as location out of which role will be based (as a minimum sixty-percent office-based position, meaning at least three days per week in the office; may telecommute from home otherwise, up to forty percent or two days weekly, in this “hybrid” role). Is a permanent, immediately available, job opportunity that does not require any travel for business (other than simply commuting to Spryte headquarters (address given above) for regular work at least three days weekly and a minimum of sixty percent of the time). Because will work at company headquarters routinely and predominantly (as noted), one must therefore live in the Town of Bedford, MA, or within a reasonable, daily commuting distance thereof (e.g., areas contemplated can include the larger Greater Boston region, Greater Worcester, Greater Lowell, Central Massachusetts, or Massachusetts’ MetroWest, North or South Shore communities). May otherwise telecommute and work remotely from home, again, up to two days each week and at most forty percent of the time, in true hybrid role. The “Machine Learning Engineer”, at Spryte Medical, is responsible for designing and implementing machine learning architectures for nOCT and intravascular image processing. Role applies state-of-the-art breakthroughs and technology in computer vision and machine learning, to further research and development at Spryte in nOCT and intravascular imaging. Position executes artificial intelligence (“AI”) model training, designed to produce models capable of segmenting nOCT and intravascular images. It assesses and compares machine learning models to find optimized AI approaches for clinical applications deployed in intravascular science; participates in the development of production quality software in accordance with quality policies and regulatory requirements; develops and applies algorithms related to deep learning, signal processing, image processing, and intravascular image processing; develops and deploys image processing- and manipulation-related Python scripts; develops and maintains a code base related to artificial intelligence; communicates learnings and findings with wider software team, including through technical documentation and written project reports; and collaborates cross-functionally with departments that include marketing, business development, and operations, to importantly coordinate product developments and improvements as a Spryte team.

Full-time position requiring a Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in bioinformatics, computer science, computational biology, structural biology, or a closely-related discipline. Also required are two years of the following experience: (a) performing machine learning analysis in the precise context of intravascular image processing; (b) developing machine learning models, specifically for nOCT images, image segmentation and feature detection in intravascular image processing; (c) developing AI models using Python, Tensorflow and Keras; (d) performing algorithm development related to signal processing, image processing, and intravascular image processing; and (e) developing and deploying image processing- and manipulation-related Python scripts.
