Responsible for the maintenance and preparation of accounting ledgers, journals, and financial statements for the company and subsidiaries. Reviews account reconciliations and financial statements for reasonableness. Analyzes and prepares reports as required. Possesses general knowledge of GAAP and the organization’s policies and procedures as they relate to financial statements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ø Supervise staff by assigning and directing daily activities, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving issues.
Ø Manage, analyze and review all balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracy and identify unusual activity within accounts
Ø Facilitate monthly close process for all entities ensuring timely and accurate financial statement preparation
Ø Manage, prepare and analyze the monthly general accounting functions at the subsidiaries.
Ø Manage the intercompany accounting processes with affiliated companies.
Ø Facilitate audit process by delegating duties, reviewing, preparing documents and working with auditors during the audit.
Ø Compile budget information and facilitate budget process for the company
Ø Identify and lead process improvement projects and process documentation
Ø Other miscellaneous projects as assigned

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Accounting or Finance and 5 years related experience and proven proficiency. Accounting certification strongly preferred (CPA, CMA or similar license).
