Researches, develops, analyzes, designs, and tests company products using engineering and scientific principles. Translates engineering and scientific concepts from preliminary ideas through product life cycle. Analyzes and verifies product design and performance for adequacy, including reliability. Researches and develops material and processes that support the translation from abstract concepts to functional products. Applies knowledge of engineering and scientific methods and tools to define and characterize behavior of products, services, and processes. Integrates technical, cost, value, and safety considerations into the product definition to comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements; documents results in drawings, data sets, reports, specifications, and supporting data. Interfaces with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives.

Requirements
Apply knowledge of the theory of structures, mechanics, and materials to planning; procedure development; test design and management; data analysi; and the reporting of test results for materials, structural, and mechanical tests of components, parts, assemblies, and end products. Apply knowledge of the principles and theories relevant to the measurements of stress, strain, loads and deflections of materials, structures and mechanics in order to plan and conduct static and fatigue load testing and hydrostatic, functional and/or pneumatic pressure testing of materials, structures, and mechanical components for all pertinent temperature ranges.

This position will involve direct contact with the OEM customer and candidates must possess the following:
- Engineer with abilities to develop the test plans, modify product design for test instrumentation concepts and coordinate test activities with partners and the OEM.
- Catia V5 experience required.
- ABET accreditation preferred.
- Written and spoken communication skills are a must.
- Business travel will be required.
