First Level Management position leading engineering teams on new product programs and on Spirit’s existing products. New program opportunities include Mitsubishi Regional Jet, Boeing 787, Cessna Columbus and Airbus A350. Apply technical knowledge and leadership experience to facilitate and manage multi-disciplined technical organizations in order to accomplish common goals and objectives.
Position Requirements
Apply knowledge of advanced structural analysis (e.g. modeling, static, fatigue, damage tolerance, etc.) and materials to determine structural adequacy and compliance to specific customer, regulatory and specification requirements. Lead the research and development of materials, processes, analysis tools and test methods that support the definition and realization of structural aerospace products. Ability to evaluate and develop solutions to integrate technical, cost, value, and safety considerations into the final product definition. Minimum of 7 years experience in structural analysis of aerospace structures.
Interface with other members of project or program teams, senior management and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives. Ability to establish resource requirements and manage allocations; evaluate performance; coach, plan and organize individuals; and oversee process/project/program activities.
Individual must have good communication skills and must be able to work with multiple functions in a team environment. Periodic business travel will be required in this position.
Educational Requirements
Engineering degree in civil, aero, mechanical or engineering mechanics, preferably from an ABET accredited institution.
