Overall Responsibilities:
We are seeking applicants for a Formulator / Sr. Formulator to support Product Development in developing liquid nutritional supplements. The candidate should have extensive knowledge and understanding of Nutritional raw materials and should have extensive experience in formulating with these materials. Experience in formulating in liquid dosage forms is preferable, however not required. This position requires close customer contact and the candidate must be able to balance commercial opportunity with scientific expertise in all aspects of formulation. A strong background in vitamins, herbal products, botanicals and minerals is necessary for the candidate to be successful. Understanding how these products work together to form unique product offerings that bring value to the consumer is an important attribute for this position. Must have the ability to formulate work plans and conduct problem solving on complex chemical development/production projects.
Qualifications / Capabilities
Minimum of 3 years experience in formulation in the dietary supplement industry.
Degree (B.S. M.S., PhD.) in Chemistry, Food Science, Natural Medicine, or similar discipline.
Formulation experience with liquids is preferable
Must have a good working knowledge of GMPs, FDA, and other regulations pertaining to the dietary supplement industries.
Must have good communication skills both verbal and written and must have proficient computer skills
