Job Details:

St. Jude Medical, an Abbott Labs Co, seeks qualified Sr R&D Eng in Westford, MA. Design & develop test plans & test cases to verify new med device prods & improve existing ones. Bachelors or foreign equiv in Biomed Eng, Mech Eng, Electrical Eng or in rltd fld of study w/ min. 6 yrs of progressive pro eng, prod testing or QA exp. Alternatively, will accept a Masters or foreign equiv in above flds w/ min. 4 yrs of pro eng, prod testing or QA exp. Must possess eng exp in: (i) ensuring integrity of software (SW) & hardware (HW) systems in med devices per regulatory compliance requirements w/ FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485 & rltd med device mfg industry standards; (ii) applying knowledge of vascular physiologic assessment techs, indices for both epicardial & microvasculature disease, percutaneous coronary intervention procedures & prod dev environments; (iii) SW & HW component testing thru functional, regression, integration & system-level testing, robust V&V for med device GUIs & OCT, angiography & imaging tech; (iv) operating & administering changes w/in req mgmt tools, incl JAMA, JIRA, Confluence, Windchill & Thingworx; (v) conducting testing for system connectivity using MS Azure Cloud & Thingworx to ensure secure & reliable cloud integration & seamless comms btwn med devices & cloud-based services; & (vi) conduct risk assessments & root cause analysis to ID potential issues in SW & HW systems & contribute to implementation of CAPAs & CI initiatives. Employer will accept any suitable combo of education, training, or exp. An EOE. 40 hrs/wk.
