Under supervision of the 340B Supervisor, this position is responsible
for assisting with the coordination of the pharmacy 340B Drug Pricing Program for all
Regional Health entities. Such coordination includes assuring the program is fully
implemented in all areas of qualified use; related records are complete and accurate; and
that it meets all primary objectives as defined by leadership. Three primary objectives or
goals include: 1) Implementation and compliance of the program in accordance with federal
regulations and related interpretations of the program; 2) Maximum Participation - ensuring
the institution(s) are achieving maximum utilization of 340B pricing through full
participation in all qualified areas with all applicable products, including inpatient
contracts, contract pharmacies, and Provider Based Clinics to insure the greatest cost
savings returns throughout the facility; and 3) Efficiency of 340B Processes - ensuring that
all policies, procedures, and related approaches to the program include the most efficient
use of staff, resources, and other costs of managing, monitoring, and fully participating in
Job Description: Essential Functions:
Reviews and monitors
all points of service where 340B Drug Pricing Program participation occurs to ensure
policies and procedures are followed accordingly and is responsible to be the institutional
program expert with regard to plan qualifications, policies, and procedures.
Routinely monitors utilization records and 340B purchasing accounts to ensure software or
tools are working properly and accurately, performing audits and both internal and external
assessments to validate processes.*
Evelops and routinely monitors monthly and
annual reports on 340B participation which clearly documents utilization, savings, problem
areas and exceptions or discrepancies, to be passed to pharmacy leadership and
Routinely monitors all areas of 340B product use and works to
ensure maximum participation regarding the effective use of 340B priced products.
Works directly with manufacturers as well as through GPO and peer professional
program or equivalent pricing and develops strategies to maximize such participation.
Participates with the prime vendor and routinely reviews 340B formulary pricing,
potential alternatives, and possible additional savings as a result of GPO formulary
management.*Develops and monitors routine reports that are integrated into the inventory
process and software, allowing for concise information to be communicated to pharmacists and
technicians responsible for 340B and/or Patient Assistance Program to ensure that consistent
processes are followed.*Assists in overseeing the preparation and maintenance of controlled
substance records, storage, and filing in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Experience - 1+ years of Pharmaceutical Experience
Education - Associates degree in Related FieldPhysical Requirements:
