Assist the pharmacist in daily pharmaceutical care by preparing
medications in a complete and timely manner and in accordance with policies and
Job Description: Essential Functions:
Assists pharmacists in
the preparation and distribution of medications.
Labels and packages medications
appropriately. Prepares medications in a timely manner to expedite delivery to the patient.
Operates automated technology (Pyxis, carousel, compounders, etc.) in accordance
to department standards and expectations.
Performs aseptic compounding of
parenteral admixtures and other sterile dosage forms with the appropriate aseptic technique.
Completes billing within the appropriate time frame assuring accurate charges
with correct date of service.
Participates in the training of new pharmacy
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Certified Pharmacy Technician - South Dakota Board of Pharmacy, Graduate - Pharmacy, Healthcare Experience, High School Diploma/GED Equivalent - General Studies and, Pharmaceutical Experience, Retail Experience
