Job Description:
Installs, checks out, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment. Provides guidance and training to customer personnel in establishing operation, maintenance, and inspection procedures and techniques. Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and recommends corrective action. Advises and assists in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce cost of operation. Devises and implements preventive maintenance programs and keeps performance and maintenance records on equipment. Participates in installation planning phase.
The qualified applicant must have a minimum of three (3) years aircraft mechanic level experience. Strongly prefer recent King Air, C-12, B200, 1900, or 350 experience on civilian and military platforms including Pratt & Whitney PT6 turboprop experience. Current FAA A&P certificate required.
Duties include but not limited to: scheduled/unscheduled aircraft maintenance on all aircraft systems; turbine engine, propeller, airframe, flight control/landing gear/engine rigging, troubleshooting systems, daily/turnaround inspections, perform corrosion inspections and related treatment, washing/cleaning, servicing aircraft fuel/oil/hydraulic/oxygen/nitrogen systems, structural repairs and component in-house repair/back shop programs.
Typing skills and computer knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel a plus. Position requires OCONUS travel, shift-work in addition to scheduled and unscheduled overtime and weekend/holiday work. Must possess analytical ability, have a positive attitude, be a self-starter and work well with others. Have the physical ability to lift/handle 50 lbs and perform climbing/stooping as related to the job. Diversity of working conditions may range from standard office environment to inclement weather that may subject the employee to severe changes in temperature, less than adequate lighting, dust, wind, rain and high noise hazards may prevail. Must qualify for and obtain a DOD “Secret” security clearance and Passport to support contractual obligations.
