Job Description:
The qualified applicant must have a minimum of five (5) years of recent aircraft maintenance experience. FAA A&P and with current IA certifies required. Experience preferred on model types: MD 500 / 600 and Bell UH-1. The 5 years of experience may, at the Program Management Office discretion, may be waived if the applicant demonstrates proficiencies in comparable areas.
Duties include but not limited to:
Ensures aircraft airworthiness, research AD's / SB's / CMD's / ICA's, works closely with tech rep's and vendors, initiate and close aircraft inspection packets, using the CARMAC / EMRKS / AutoTime (EDP systems) inputs data / conducts audits and ensures accuracy, ensure that aircraft meet operating standards / safety requirements, monitor / review FAA and Military forms / records, review and audit aircraft / engine / propeller logbooks, review / monitor ETM, oil and fuel analysis, investigate repeat discrepancies, and maintenance induced incidents, reviews / completes paperwork concerning in-house repairs and back shop programs, assists with EH&S training requirements, assists with ordering parts, scheduled / unscheduled aircraft maintenance, daily / turnaround inspections and aircraft cleaning / servicing. Typing skills and computer knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
Position may require periodic CONUS / OCONUS travel, shift work in addition to scheduled and unscheduled overtime and weekend / holiday work. Must possess analytical ability, have a positive attitude, be a self starter and work well with others. Have the physical ability to lift handle 50 lbs and climbing / stooping as related to the job. Diversity of working conditions may range from standard office environment to inclement weather that may subject the employee to severe changes in temperature, less than adequate lighting, dust, wind, rain and high noise hazards may prevail. Applicant must own / provide both SAE (up to one inch) and metric (up to 24 mm) tools. Employment dependent upon successful background security check and drug screen.
