Position Summary
The Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for assessing planning and implementing the delivery of care; and with the approval of the patient establishes reasonable and measurable goals within a specific timeframe. The professional physical therapist assumes responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the healthcare team.
50 bed inpatient unit. Will see patients age 20 and up.
Will see Ortho, Cardiac, Neuro, Respiratory, Vestibular, etc.
Evaluations, discharges, team meetings, strengthening and conditioning, stretches, wheelchair, crutch and gait training, whirlpools, e-stim, ultrasound, massage, paraffin, etc.
Education:
Minimum:
Bachelors Degree
Preferred:
Master's Degree
Experience:
Minimum:
0-1 years
Preferred:
2-4 years
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
NJ State PT License (will consider other states with reciprocity)
License or certification preferred
CPR
Specialized Skills:
Ability to communicate clearly in English, both oral and written.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to perform diversified duties within time limitations with a high degree of accuracy
Organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information.
Ability to float as requested by supvr/mgr.
Ability to maintain consistent attendance.
Demonstrated skill in clinical interviewing
Ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
$5,000 relocation assistance if relocating over 75 miles
Conveniently located approximately 7-10 miles east of Philadelphia, 80 miles north of Washington DC and 90 miles south of New York City
