Title Neurodiagnostics Tech- Sheboygan- Part Time Description This position will work 24 hrs per week Job Description and Essential Functions Job Title/Position: Neurodiagnostic Tech I Job Classification: Direct Patient Care / Hands-On Patient Care Date of Analysis: 5/23/13 Date of Revision/Review: 8/3/16, 08/2018, 04/2022 ____________________________________________________________________________________ Brief Description of Job Responsibilities: Team member of department at assigned sites for all areas of neurodiagnostics services performed at Prevea and HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital. Responsible for self-development, individual and team customer service, quality improvement and supporting of both department and organization initiatives. Responsible for setting up and independently performing routine, ambulatory, and other EEG exams. Specialized Responsibilities: - Performs routine, ambulatory, critical care, and other EEG exams for patients of all ages
- Developing skills in NCS, EPs, IOM, and other needed testing as required with assistance
- Ensures day-to-day operations of assigned site departments to assure a high level of productivity and customer service
- Maintains the quality of exams, procedures and services
- Knowledge of safety hazards common to neurodiagnostics including equipment, body mechanics, and patient care
- Performs quality control procedures and maintains records to help obtain accreditations as needed
- Works closely with the other departments` teams and leaders as needed to ensure departments` processes provide quality patient care and customer service
- Knowledge of neurodiagnostics documentation and coding regulations
- Use of electronic medical record (EMR) (may include but not limited to: documentation, referrals, scheduling, order entry, pre-certification, etc)
- Works with department supervisor to share constructive feedback for team and self- growth
Performance Requirements: - Ability to work independently

- Must display excellent teamwork
- Ability to work under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy level
- Must possess logical thinking skills to effectively solve problems
- Must have good computer skills, as well as written and verbal communication skill
- Must have reliable mode of transportation to travel to various sites as needed
Education/Experience/Certifications: - Graduate of an accredited electroneurodiagnostics program, registered or registry eligible in one of the following EEG, NCS or EPs. Successful EEG registration is required within 2 years of employment
- Willingness to train in intraoperative monitoring preferred
Non-Essential Duties: Other duties as assigned within scope of practice Typical Working Conditions: Combination of medical office/exam room and hospital settings. Possible exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic or hospital environment. Typical Physical Demands - Requires full range of body motion for handling and lifting patients as well as for setting up diagnostic tests
- Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination sufficient to operator keyboard and other office equipment such as copier, fax machine, printer, etc.
- Involves frequent sitting, standing, and walking
- Frequent pushing/pulling/lifting medical supplies and equipment. Occasional patient transfers.
- Requires visual acuity correctable to 20/30, normal color perception and hearing within normal range
