Job Description:
This position reports directly to the department head of Product Development.
General responsibilities include but are not limited to the planning, performing, supervising and reporting of preformulation, formulation and evaluation activities of pharmaceutical products assigned to the Product Development department.
Write descriptive protocols and technology transfer documents (TTDs) that can be used to produce the developmental plans and necessary documents for manufacturing feasibility and CTM batch records.
Coordinate with material management, technical services, lab and QA to assure the availability of documents, equipment and materials required for assigned projects.
Review various reports with supervisors, group leads and senior management.
Train and supervise subordinates to carry out tasks accurately and with the highest possible quality.
Prepare developmental reports and summary briefings as required by department head.
Communicate effectively with all levels on the progress of a project.
Requirements:
- Masters or PhD in pharmaceutics or related sciences
- 5-10 yrs. Experience in formulation development of liquids or semisolids
- Highly skilled in experimental design
- Ability to supervise personnel
- Excellent computer skills required
