SUMMARY
Manage, control, monitor, maintain cost, schedule department activities, all parts movement, and service parts requirements and performance requirements to support assigned government programs/contracts related to aftermarket parts and service contracts. Responsible for identifying all service sales, and the sales forecast. Coordinate sub-contractor support, according to signed government contract, service sales administration, and pricing, and distribution, installation instructions with all vendor manufactures, local purchasing, and Oshkosh finance according to all Oshkosh policy. Coordinate defense parts requirements with OSK manufacturing, purchasing, and finance. Coordinate PDC policy, and competitive parts pricing guidelines to ensure sales profitability. Manage and coordinate parts sales organization in supporting the office and field in all phases of service sales/parts requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Present a professional image of OSK to US agencies and foreign government and corporate management.
2. Manage, assign and supervise the work of others.
3. Manage and coordinate parts sales organization in supporting the field in all phases of their service parts requirements.
4. Work in liaison with corporate departments to avoid and resolve all issues and concerns.
5. Represent Oshkosh at key contract performance review and customer briefings.
6. Train and mentor subordinates in areas of contract, parts sales, LEAN operations, day-to-day operations, system measures or program management.
7. Assist in hiring decisions within the Defense group.
8. Perform formal personnel performance reviews.
9. Organize and perform administrative and management functions required for timely and compliant contract performance.
10. Submit and negotiate proposals for new business and contract changes.
11. Track, analyze and review reports ensure that costs, schedule, and performance under assigned government programs are being controlled and managed within established guidelines.
12. Prepare additional data and/or correspondence as may be required by corporate management.
13. Principle point of contact for all program or contract management related matters on assigned programs.
14. Assist in identifying new business opportunities.
15. Identify and recommend pricing methodologies for contracts and proposals.
16. Prepare department and if necessary contract budgets.
17. Manage computer parts e-commerce and call center sales operations.
18. Develop and maintain necessary data systems to efficiently support parts operations.
19. Coordinate parts requirements with OSK manufacturing, purchasing and finance groups.
20. Travel to customer locations may reach 25% of individuals work time.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
8 or more years of experience.
Occasional travel to war risk identified countries as required.
Ability to obtain security clearance.
Must be willing to be deployed in Kuwait and/or travel extensively.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree
