POSITION GOAL:
Provides an effective hospital wide program for the surveillance, prevention and control of infection. Reports to the Director of Quality Resources Department.

Assumes the role of leader in planning, directing and managing the Infection Control program to ensure quality service on a 24-hour basis. Meets JCAHO standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, promotes teamwork with physicians and all health-care providers, promotes internal and external customer satisfaction, and appropriately manages resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2 Year/Associate Degree
  • License/Certification - Florida RN License
  • National Certification in Infection Control 2
  • Completion of approved Infection Control course within 1 year
  • Patient Control as per Isolation Standards
SKILLS:
Organizational, verbal, customer relations, computer, clerical, and principles of IC: knowledge of regulatory standards: advanced knowledge of statistical principles.
