Opening in sales engineering, with specific title of “Sales Manager in Sales Engineering”, and involving electrical engineering product and subject matter discussion, field presentation and knowledge application. This position is with Navitas Semiconductor USA, Inc. (“Navitas” or “Navitas Semiconductor”), headquartered at 3520 Challenger Street, Torrance, CA 90503. This position, however, is based in the company’s San Jose office, specifically situated at 1475 South Bascom, Suite 100, Campbell, CA 95008. This regional office and address, it would serve as the main, predominant, work location, out of which the role will be based full-time, permanently and long-term. Approximately fifty percent of the person’s work time, note, it is and will be performed onsite from the Navitas San Jose office (see Campbell, CA address given above again). While the role does involve fifty percent travel (defined more specifically below), note that because the applicable Navitas regional office involved is the company’s Campbell, CA office, be advised one in this role must therefore live in the Greater San Jose area (so as to be within a reasonable, commuting distance of the City of Campbell, CA, which is where the Navitas regional office, serving as primary place of employment for the role, may be found). Position is a permanent, immediately available, job opportunity. May also telecommute from home when not traveling for business and sales meetings.

Travel in this occupation of “Sales Engineer”, it is standard and commonplace. Note that the degree of travel in this role required by Navitas, it can be up to fifty percent of the person’s total work time and availability. Travel will be both national and international in destination and scope. Sites are unanticipated and unknown clients, prospects, channel partners and other corporate sites that are subject to change over time, as the business itself shifts and changes as well. Such business trips, note, they are brief and limited in duration. Domestic trips (after accounting for flight), they last only hours onsite and are accomplished and are fully complete within the context of the same business day (meaning person may fly home same-day; relocation is not required). International trips will last no longer than one business week in length.

From the perspective of business function, job duties performed and responsibility, the “Sales Manager in Sales Engineering” operates in electrical engineering-based technical sales for semiconductors and power electronics. This is defined by customer-facing work out in the field. That is where travel is entailed, as described and disclosed above. This role specifically manages Navitas customers in the engineering space that make use of company products, most notably those built around state-of-the-art GaN and SiC technologies in electrical engineering and power electronics. Technical elements, further, will span gate driver boards for SiC modules, power integrated circuits, isolated power topologies, and high-voltage converters. Role will apply and contribute this technical product and electrical engineering knowledge to field operations, sales and to business development settings. The position will work with prospects and customers to identify optimal engineering and semiconductor applications that best suit their needs; and will be tasked, importantly, with demonstrating the quantifiable, engineering value proposition that Navitas semiconductor solutions do represent. The “Sales Manager in Sales Engineering” consequently serves as a vital interfacing link between Navitas and the customer. The role also supports deployment to help solve engineering challenges quickly and make sure the technologies employed (including any integration) are easy-to-use and fluid, so customers repeatedly turn to Navitas as their trusted semiconductor partner.

Duties otherwise performed in this electrical engineering-based technical sales and customer-facing role include the following: responsible for developing technical presentations and for conducting customer and channel partner training sessions; providing education on Navitas value proposition solutions; contributing to customer integration projects and reviewing technical engineering designs, including for verification that project needs are met; managing key elements of forecasting; performing data analysis and giving presentations that highlight engineering product features; and building productive business relationships with demand-creation channels, Original Design Manufacturers, and distribution and manufacturer representatives, all of which entails the exploitation of electrical and electronics engineering knowledge, possessed by the technical sales engineer in this role. Technical tools used, finally, will also include Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Oracle, and a customer relationship management system for tracking sales data of both international and domestic reach.

Base annual salary of $145,000.00 per year. It requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in electrical engineering or related field. Also required are three years of experience in semiconductor and power electronics sales, and with specific focus (applied over same length of time of three years) on (a) GaN and SiC products; (b) gate driver boards for SiC modules; (c) power integrated circuits; (d) isolated power topologies; and (e) high-voltage converters. The three years of experience required, finally, it must also span use of technical tools that include Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Oracle, and a customer relationship management system for tracking sales data, both overseas and locally in geographic scope.
