We are recruiting for Core Laboratory Scientists for varying shifts. Candidates must be Medical Lab Scientists. Position is located in Reno, NV. This is a direct hire position with full benefits. Salary is 55k - 88k, DOE Qualifications- License - State of Nevada license Experience - 1 year in a Core Laboratory setting Certification - MLS, ASCP strongly preferred Sign On Bonus Offered Relocation Bonus Offered This position performs laboratory analytical procedures on blood, body fluids, and tissue specimens. The incumbent is responsible for the technical accuracy, instrument operation, quality control, and result reporting per established policies and procedures. They are accountable to ensure timely and accurate results are reported to the appropriate hospital staff and physicians in a courteous and professional manner. Some support tasks will be required to maintain laboratory operations and may include specimen collection, sample handling, information system procedures, and customer support and procedure revisions when needed. Scheduling of hours may be changed, as company deems necessary. The Lab is a 24-hour, 7-days a week operation, providing laboratory services to an inpatient and outpatient population of all ages. The incumbent must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality and timely laboratory tests for inpatients and outpatients. Test results must be clearly reported to nursing and/or medical staff through direct communication or result entry by computer. Communicating delays in patients care and assisting with technical questions for clinical lab assistants, physicians and nurses is expected. The incumbent must consider the age of the patient when performing testing and releasing results. Must be able to communicate with a diverse patient population and their family when performing special procedures. The incumbent must be knowledgeable of and observe all safety requirements in a laboratory and hospital setting. Comprehensive knowledge must be maintained for all procedures that are required to be performed. Competency in work related skills must be demonstrated annually. Interest in career ladder advancement will be expressed through conversation with formal leader whereby leadership collaborative goals will be defined and managed through mentorship, guidance, interaction and evaluation by formal leader. This position does provide patient care. This position may require driving to other patient testing centers as assigned by the Clinical Laboratory Supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS Candidates must be Medical Lab Scientists. License - State of Nevada license Experience - 1 year in a Core Laboratory setting Education: University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
