Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a large heifer raising operation located in Nebraska who is searching a qualified Breeder. Responsibilities for this position include artificially inseminating heifers daily, following individual breeding protocols for each source farm, selection of semen to be use for insemination process for each source farm, and paint and heat detect heifers daily. Will also give lute shots and GNRH shots daily per protocol and use CIDRS as needed. Will be required to enter daily documentation into Dairy Comp to ensure adequate documentation and records. Will give attention to detail when storing, transporting, and thawing of semen. Also responsible for performance of pregnancy checks on heifers using an ultrasound. QUALIFICATIONS MUST HAVE CURRENT DAIRY EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION
- Strong AI breeding experience
- Experience with Preg checking using Ultrasound a plus
- Lute and GNRH shot experience
- CIDRS experience
- Basic Computer skills Education:
University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
