We are seeking a BPCS/LX EDI (they use Trusted Linked) and RPG programmer, and we don`t care where the person lives -- the hiring manager and I even spoke about if this candidate wanted to live in Hawaii and work East Coast hours and surf in the afternoon. :)

Results driven professional experienced in providing EDI support at various levels. Incumbent will take first line ownership responding to and resolving issues across multiple locations. This role will assist in the deployment and support of all EDI Operations initiatives. Will be responsible for day to day troubleshooting and error detection and resolution. Additionally, will be expected to attain knowledge of all ERP modules and applications to effectively support all areas of Manufacturing, Finance, CRM, and Supply chain.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers both internally and externally with B2B issues related to their ordering and invoicing interfaces
  • Collaborate with other SMEs including Sr. IT Business Applications Manager, Senior IT Functional Analyst, ERP Software Vendor (Opentext), Customer Service, and other members of the organization
  • Research, identify, track, and communicate incidents and problems with services within purview
  • Communicate and coordinate with department leadership about common frustrations, hindrances, and other issues that interrupt workflow
  • Actively participates in designing, building, testing, implementing, and supporting new and existing EDI services
  • Organize and prioritize assigned tasks to meet established schedules, timeliness, and/or deadlines
  • Document and train other members of organization to act as backup in support role
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Assists with project management discipline
  • Assists with change management discipline

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate:

(If a degree is required it must be from an accredited institution)

  • College or advanced degree (or equivalent work experience will be considered)
  • In-depth knowledge and proven experience with EDI standards and message formats
  • Knowledge of Infors BPCS
  • Knowledge of Infors LX
  • Manufacturing experience a significant plus
  • IBM iSeries/AS400 experience and proficiency
  • IBM GXS BizManager knowledge
  • OpenText TrustedLink knowledge
  • Knowledge of RPG, RGPLE, and ASSET programming languages, SQL, and DB2 databases.
  • Proficient in English (read, write, and verbal communication)
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident, sponsorship not available

Preferred Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of RPG programming, RPGLE programming, ASSET programming, SQL, DB2 databases, Microsoft Office products
