JOB DESCRIPTION

The Family Nurse Practitioner functions as a member of a medical team and applies to the treatment of patient`s the medical and related skills acquired through the training and/or experience required for this position. S/he may provide services within one or more Wheeler Clinic program(s), and the relative concentration between and within programs may change with the needs of the Clinic. S/he will see on average, 16 patients, in a 8-hour day.

Other staff include: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Medical Assistants, RNs, front desk staff and behavioral health staff.

SCHEDULE

Minimum of 8 hours per week that includes Saturday coverage (9am-1pm)

Rotating on call required

QUALIFICATIONS

-Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)

-2 years of relevant work experience

-Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner

-Active DEA Controlled substance registration

-Must be willing to obtain the suboxone waiver

-Will be required to acquire and maintain certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare -Professionals no later than 90 days from date of hire.

-Must be able to pass a respirator fit test at time of hire and on an annual basis.

Education:
University - Master`s Degree
