JOB FUNCTIONS: QUALIFICATIONS
Supervises staff to include hiring, training, evaluating performance, providing compensation recommendations, and determining disciplinary actions when necessary.
Lead continuous improvement projects to optimize plant efficiency.
Supervises a team of employees involved in the production and maintenance that typically includes multiple complex production lines.
Ensures resources and personnel are allocated to meet operational demands.
Assists with coordinating various plant departments to ensure efficient plant operations; oversees other operations such as scheduling, inventory management, shipping/receiving, quality control, or other areas.
Supervises various special projects that involve fundamental engineering or operational principles and practices.
Analyze and review a variety of operational reports across the functions to improve quality, efficiency, cycle times, volumes, and implements operational changes as required.
Develops operating policies and procedures to ensure the efficient use of resources, maintain a safe environment, and produce quality products.
Ensures production schedules, quality initiatives, safety targets, efficiency metrics, and other operational measurements are met.
5+ years of production experience including at least 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment including supervising and evaluating employees.
BS Degree in Engineering highly preferred but may consider other technical degree. Ideally looking for "Process Industry" experience (chemicals, food ingredients, pharma or related)
Experience in initiating and leading continuous improvement projects (Six Sigma, TPS, Kaizen, Lean etc.) is desired.
Experience applying basic engineering, production, and operations management principles and practices.
Experience developing and analyzing applicable production reports and investigating operational problems.
Experience in a PSM or hazardous material facility a plus.
Knowledgeable in GMP guidelines a plus.
University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
