We seek a Defense & Aerospace Community-focused Business Development Manager.
The successful candidate for this position will have experience with the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community and the Federal Acquisition process.
The Business Development Manager will represent The Company to the customer who is responsible for Radar business expansion by identifying potential customers, acquiring new business by creating capture campaigns, contact plans, competitive and price to win analysis and collaborating with team members to develop and propose winning solutions.

JOB DESCRIPTION


Essential Functions

Engage targeted Department of Defense and Intelligence Community audiences and customers to understand capability needs, acquisition processes, and identify potential new business opportunities.

Maintain and manage a backlog of new business opportunities

Acquire new business by creating capture campaigns, contact plans, competitive and price to win analysis and collaborating with team members to develop and propose winning solutions.

Utilizing our process and Federal Acquisitions Regulations to develop, deliver and support proposals through contract award.

Collaborate with Program Management to assist in execution planning and post award customer satisfaction.

Ensures adherence to project plans and timelines to be met by internal and external resources.

Identify and contribute to new product and product enhancement opportunities.

Assist with the development of new products. Determine costs and pricing for products.

Participate in development and execution of budgets, short-term plans, and long-term plans, policies, procedures, and initiatives.

Ensure adherence to department budgets.

Promote and maintain the highest possible customer or supplier relationship, either directly or through the team.

Keep internal teams informed of competitive information gained regarding pricing, products, or general issues in the market.

Coordinate and communicate matters of mutual concern with internal and external teams.

Prepare account analysis and/or sales reports as needed.

Keep informed of new developments, methods, and techniques in the industry.

Participate in industry events such as trade shows, conferences, and other travel as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in business, engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years related experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong sales and service skills.
Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Capability to coach, mentor, and empower team members to succeed.
High level of patience and service.
Ability to motivate team members.
Problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify waste and creatively look for solutions.
Capacity to be flexible and multitask.
Proficient with a computer, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
Travel up to 50% of time.
Must meet eligibility requirements for access to government classified information

Education:
University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
