WHY IS THIS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY?

Director of Sales for the Northeast USA. Will manage 7 direct account managers spread out throughout New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania.

This is a manufacturer of small batch chemicals. They sell and also distribute for other chemical OEM`s in THe Northeast, Southeast and MidWest. The person needs to be in Mass, CT, RI or possibly southern NH or Westchester county, NY. BS degree required. Ideally in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.

Replacing a retiring 30 year employee. Ideal background is ten years direct sales and ten years people managment experieince in selling most types of chemicals to oems. Must have strong and extensive sales of chemicals. Total experieince up to 25 years. Strong potential to move to VP Sales when the 40 year employee retires in the next 3 or 4 years. High energy, modern approach to sales (CRM software, vidcom, etc.) The team has two new members, but 5 of them will be retiring in the next 5 years. Yes, people rarely leave here, great culture, promote from within. If the person managed a mature team and - or built a new team that would be a big help. Has to be sales managment of specialty chemicals, ideally custom and commodity mix...
