JOB DESCRIPTION

The BIM Project Manager is responsible for leading the flow of VDC (Virtual Design & Construction) data for highway/heavy civil engineering projects. The BIM Project Manager is expected to support high field production levels on major projects and/or multiple projects through directing department workflows, coordinating design data and project schedules utilizing department personnel and resources.

Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:

  • Delegate and schedule work with department managers.
  • Supervise the work of department modelers.
  • Liaise with designers, estimators, engineers and project staff on department BIM workflows and deliverables throughout the project life cycle.
  • Create, modify, edit and implement department SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) including oversight of QA/QC activities.
  • Train engineers, estimators, surveyors and other technical staff in corporate-wide training opportunities.
  • Create, manage and maintain VDC data for project level operations.
  • Carry out job duties while maintaining company values and vision.
  • Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • Ten years combined experience: creating models in 3D/BIM roles/field engineering/ field surveying, field engineering and/or CAD on highway/heavy civil engineering construction projects
  • Familiar with a wide variety of highway/heavy civil engineering and survey practices and principles
  • Working knowledge of ISO and industry best-practices for VDC applications in the highway/heavy civil engineering industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years modeling with various Bentley modeling/design software (any combination of Open Roads Designer, InRoads, GEOPAK, MX, Microstation) or Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Working capability in document/data management, scheduling and MS Office tools (preference for Project Wise & Primavera software)

Education:
University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
