Job Description
NORDAM is seeking a Program Manager II for its VIP Interiors Completion Business market. Candidate will lead multi-functional team to plan, direct, schedule, implement, and continuously improve program development. Previous aviation/aerospace experience required. Working knowledge of the SAP operating system required. BBJ experience preferred.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the complete cost, technical and schedule performance of significant company programs or a major section of a large major program. Participants in the proposal and contract negotiating team. Directs all phases of programs and projects from inception through completion. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leads program review sessions with the customer to discuss cost, schedule and technical performance.
Leads or participates in proposal preparation, business plans proposal work statements and development of technical and administrative specifications, operating budgets and the financial terms and conditions of the contract.
Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product development, integration and test. Establishes milestones ands monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions such as allocation of resources or changing contract specifications.
Directs the work of Stakeholders assigned to the program or project from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas. Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
Ancillary Functions and Responsibilities:
Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a technical discipline from four-year college or university and ten (10) or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience may be substituted for the formal education and training requirements in this section at the discretion of management.
Categories and Number of Stakeholders Directly Supervised and Program Value:
May directly supervise a small staff of one (1) to three (3) professionals and clerical support staff. May indirectly supervise from 50 to 100 managers, supervisors, leads and other personnel. Program’s total value is between 50 and 100 Million.
Communication and Special Skills:
Communicate effectively using electronic media and in written and verbal forms. Make telephone and direct personal contact with internal and external personnel and make formal presentations to small or large groups. Competent in the use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Special Training and Behavioral Competencies:
Safety training applicable to the work area and job performed.
Complete the required NORDAM University training for Managers, Directors, General Managers and Executives.
Comply with The NORDAM Group Leadership Competencies for Managers, Directors, General Managers or Executives as applicable.
Ability and willingness to assist and transfer technical knowledge to less experienced Stakeholders.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the Stakeholder is regularly required to talk and hear. The Stakeholder frequently is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The Stakeholder is occasionally required to stand and walk. The Stakeholder must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to travel between facilities and operate standard office equipment. Work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week as required. Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Skills and Work Requirements Aerospace experience required. SAP experience required. Boeing Business Jets / VIP Completions experience preferred.
