IS - Portal Integration Architect

Position Description:
The position will work with other IS/IT employees on a worldwide basis to design, implement and evolve Michelin’s Portal architecture.
Mission & Responsibilities
- Design and maintain the IS/IT Portal Integration Architecture and its associated long term “road map”.
- Provide Portal architect support for IS/IT projects during the architecture design phase of a project.
- Define, maintain, and communicate Portal integration principles and guidelines. Ensure that Portal architecture standards and conventions are well understood and applied by business, support groups, and project teams.
- Select tools used to support the Portal architecture. Maintain and coordinate the technical relationship with the vendors of those tools.
- Review IS/IT projects, and identify opportunities to advance and leverage the IS/IT Architecture target. Ensure that synergies and benefits of the Portal architecture are identified and pursued.
- Ensure that architecture choices are aligned with the Enterprise Architecture standards and direction.
- Promote the standardization and reuse of integration solutions between platforms through the Architects network.
- Market and promote the use of Portals within the Michelin architecture.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science.
• Minimum of 7 years experience in a large IS/IT organization(s)
• Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, define, and develop complex PORTAL architecture solutions for large enterprise wide applications.
• Experience assessing and determining governance, stewardship, and frameworks for managing Portal architecture across the organization.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work internationally, which will include approximately 4 international trips per year.
• Proficient in English, French is a plus.
• At least 3 years experience using Portal tools such as Websphere Portal Server. Use of other integration products such as Websphere Business Integrator, Tibco or Webmethods would be a plus.
