Process Quality Technician
Job Location: Greenville, SC

Statement of Function:
This position’s purpose is to assist the production shop in improving before and after cure quality. The position is expected to support the production shop by analyzing process data and defining parameters to achieve the quality goals.
This position will provide process and quality engineering support for the Tire Building Department.
Responsibilities:
As an on-site expert, a Quality Technician will:
• Assist the plant in initiatives to improve the tire manufacturing process.
• Conduct feasibility type studies
• Provide technical assistance to the manufacturing facility as it industrializes new technology.
• Apply technical troubleshooting skills to existing processes with production quality problems.
• Respond to day-to-day quality issues
• Develop new processes on existing equipment
• Complete projects with a mid- to long-term focus
Requirements:
• BS degree in a technical field, preferably mechanical or chemical engineering, or chemistry
• Self-motivated, hands-on attitude
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Office applications. Knowledge/use of Access preferred.
• French language skills plus.
