Kongsberg Automotive, Inc. seeks a Key Account Manager - Americas for a position in Novi, Michigan, but can telecommute anywhere from within the continental 48 states, to be responsible for all aspects of commercial vehicle OEM supply including sales cycle, PPAP processes, prototype builds, new platform launches, issue resolution, negotiation, and strategic key account management under the direction of management. Direct sales planning/forecasting activities and set target goals accordingly for their respective accounts in coordination with the segment leader under the direction of management. Continuously identify new opportunities and communicate product solutions to meet customer needs and requirements using value based selling arguments. Maintain and improve the level of customer knowledge and develop strong customer relationships at each assigned account. Understand key account platforms and launch timing of all vehicles within assigned commercial vehicle OEM customers. Perform SWOT analysis to determine and clarify customer needs/expectations, market pricing, technology changes and advancements, opportunities and external threats and report back to the group with supporting details. Partner with Application Engineers, Manufacturing, and Quality organization to resolve issues, liaise between the program team and internal APQP function, and follow up on activities to ensure customer expectations, deadlines, and launch dates are met. Support Management with the development of the Strategic Plan for product portfolio. Work with Product Management to identify product simplification, consolidation, and standardization to gain optimum value for product portfolio. Develop strong customer relationships (to include the areas of engineering, purchasing, quality, plant management, program management and senior management) and have the ability to negotiate and close deals. Deliver sales presentations to key customers' engineering, purchasing and management groups. Work internally well - within a Team environment - with Product Management, Engineering, Quality and Operations to support and maintain agility, speed, and responsiveness to customers. Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements. Utilize all of the following technologies: manufacturing techniques of fluid management products; ISO technical specifications; NPI; Cummins 29-step; PIP; APQP; PPAP; PFMEA; VAVE; Control Plans; and Design Verification Plans. Monitor, evaluate and report on the activities and products of the competition to sales management. Maintain monthly sales reports and business growth charts which identify business opportunities and areas of focus for product development.

Qualified candidates must have at least two (2) years of experience as an Account Manager or a substantially similar position performing all the duties as listed above.
