KANSEL (Kansas School for Effective Learning) prepares adult learners age 16 and older to take the GED exam with the specific goal to obtain a Kansas High School Diploma and prepare for higher education or workforce opportunities.
JOB TITLE: GED Instructor
JOB SUMMARY: GED Instructor to teach Reading/Language arts coursework. Applicants should be able to teach standard curriculum, follow lesson plans, manage classroom behavior, monitor students’ progress and give input based on academic gain. This position is part-time from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday through Thursday.
Education and Experience Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree. Teaching certification is not required but preferred. Experience working in adult education preferred but we will consider candidates with alternative teaching/training experience. Necessary computer skills include using the internet, Microsoft Office, and ability to learn our online learning platform. Must be fluent in English and have proven interpersonal and communications skills.
