JOB SUMMARY:
Pick-up and deliver children daily and oversee maintenance of the bus.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
PROVIDE TRANSPORATION 80%
Pick-up and deliver the Children safely.
Plan and utilize the most efficient bus route.
Transport for field trips or socializations as needed.
Interact with children and parents
Follow Head Start guidelines requiring at least 3 bus evacuations annually
MAINTENANCE 10%
Perform daily and scheduled maintenance on the bus.
Clean and sanitize the bus daily.
TRAININGS 5%
Attend All Staff meetings.
Participate in any training or conferences as requested
Attend monthly bus driver training
NONESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
OTHER DUTIES 5%
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Required
Commercial Driver’s License, Class A, B, or C with passenger and school bus endorsements.
Defensive driving course*
First-Aid certificate/Infant Child CPR *
12 hour behind the wheel-6 hrs with students/ 6 hrs without students*
GED/High School Diploma
Preferred
Two years experience in an Early Childhood Program.
