Description
The primary role of this position is to oversee, direct, and ensure safety compliance of all non-resident contractor projects. Communicates directly with contractors, designers, planning, scheduling, and operating areas concerning project EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety), costs, quality of work, and schedule compliance. Provides status reports and drives value creation via contractor and operating area compliance with contract terms. Utilizes a variety of contractor field administration practices and procedures and extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Works closely with project originator, area contract coordinator, and procurement to ensure project expectations are met.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Field Project Management
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing contractor field work
- Experience in developing/writing scope of work for pending contractor jobs
- Experience in safety management and/or working knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines in short timeframes.
- Organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, integrity and relationship management skills.
- Strong problem-analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build strong business relationships among operations, maintenance, and functions to best support mutual objectives.
- Knowledge of maintenance best practices and approaches utilized in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of computer reporting systems.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Maintenance supervision experience or equivalent leading a multi-craft crew
- Demonstrated knowledge of Planning and Scheduling
- Experience with Polymer and/or Synthetic Fiber Production
- Bachelor’s degree, particularly in engineering or related science based field
- Experience working in SAP system
