INVISTA is currently seeking a Sourcing Manager to join its team in Wichita, KS.
Responsibilities:
- Manage existing and new raw material supply contracts and relationships for North America.
- Implement sourcing practices and strategies (sourcing and supplier management, tolling, R&D support, Business Development, Commercial development).
- Develop market and economic analysis to support point of view and strategy development for specialty materials raw material chains including researching and identifying new raw materials, sources, and developing and securing supply certainty for the Global Sourcing Director and the Business units.
- Manage existing custom manufacturing relationships and find, qualify, and conduct contract negations for new third party manufacturers based on business needs.
- Analyze complex issues (sourcing, tolling, research, support, and immediate needs) and reach solutions that deliver maximum value to the enterprise
- Execute supplier negotiation and strategic sourcing project work plans.
- Perform supply market research - creating and analyzing RFP's .
- Assist/support projects and participate in cross-functional teams in and around all areas to support the businesses.
Qualifications Required:
- 4+ years of experience in Business preferably within a chemical manufacturing industry.
- Bachelors degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Chemistry, Math or Science.
- Proficient in MS Office Software (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Experience researching, collecting,compiling and analyzing data from multiple difference sources.
- Experience with presenting and articulating points of view to various levels of an organization.
Qualifications Preferred:
- 6+ years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement or Business Development Administration within a chemical manufacturing industry.
- Experience with analyzing existing raw materials or new raw materials
- Basic knowledge of petroleum and petrochemical markets
- Procurement Systems - Understanding and demonstrated use of e-procurement and/or e-sourcing systems
- Experience with negotiating contracts, IE - Terms & conditions
- Supplier management experience
