Description
INVISTA's Performance Surfaces & Materials business is currently seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Commercial Sales/Marketing Rep AKA Fiber Consultant. This position will be home office-based in the Minneapolis, MN area. The position will cover Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, and North and South Dakota, with a focus on the Des Moines, Omaha, Sioux Falls and Fargo metro areas.

A successful Fiber Consultant will enhance the INVISTA Commercial Marketing effort by developing and implementing a strategic business plan, securing the Antron® fiber specification, and becoming the sought-after resource for carpet needs within the targeted territory.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Serve as the Fiber Consultant for INVISTA™ Commercial Flooring – know how to sell and market an ingredient product.
• Develop and implement a strategic business plan for each major city within the territory while managing a travel and entertainment budget. This includes partnering with all members of the value chain (A&D, end users, dealers, and carpet mill reps) to drive the specification and closure for the purchase of carpets of INVISTA™ fibers.
• Become an effective solution-provider for your customer base by understanding all facets of the contract floor covering industry within your territory.
• Understand competitive offerings to support our INVISTA™ fiber partners and to identify opportunities for new offerings.
• Conduct needs-based sales presentations that support partners and meet customer needs for small and large groups.
• Network to be able to plan, organize, and coordinate Customer events within your territory.
• Support the INVISTA™ marketing team on implementing strategies and tactics to grow share within the territory and support the overall business objectives for the commercial business.
• Participate in industry associations and conferences.

Requirements:
• Sales skills (3-5 years of sales experience)
• Preferred background in/understanding of the contract interiors industry
• Preferred degree in Marketing, Business, Facilities Management
• Excellent communication, organizational & presentation skills
• Ability to work as a team member
• Ability to work from home with limited supervision
• Ability to make cold calls
• Familiarity and competence in all Microsoft-based applications (including but not limited to PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Ability to travel within territory as well as some national travel. Up to 50% overnight.
• Requires some evening and weekend appointments.

Education:
• A four year college degree, preferred
