WORK SCHEDULE:
- Rotating 12-hour shifts. (36 hours one week, 48 hours the following week)
- Average full-time work schedule of 14 days per month.
- Rotating shift schedule requires employee to work at least 50% of weekends
TYPICAL/REQUIRED FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain all production equipment in good condition.
- Perform basic mechanical functions.
- Perform quality checks.
- Identify and segregate product according to quality standards.
- Operate computer terminals and equipment.
- Take corrective actions per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
- Maintain record keeping.
- Remove and install packs and maintain pack heater inventories.
- Perform general and detailed housekeeping.
- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
- Must function in a team environment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervisory guidance.
- Ability to think through and resolve problems.
- Good communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Ability to observe and remember procedures
- Ability to locate and apply information from workplace graphics such as charts, graphs, and instrument gauges
- Basic Mechanical skills required for Technician level
- Must desire to progress and grow in a job.
- High School diploma or GED
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Lifting over 50 pounds required.
- Standing, stooping, squatting and bending often.
- Some areas have equipment that operates at high temperature and noise levels. Therefore, appropriate protective equipment will be provided and must be properly worn.
OTHER:
- Previous industrial experience is preferred.
- Associates degree is preferred.
- To be considered for employment in this position you must be eligible to work in the United States
Experience and Skills Preferred:
- Computer literate ( experience with SAP, word, excel a plus)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated equipment troubleshooting ability in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Prior work history in a manufacturing environment
Education Preferred:
- Associate degree or higher
