RESPONIBILITES:
- Understand site spend in the following areas to maximize full potential value to the site:
- On and Off-Site Services
- MRO and Travel
- Engineering and Professional Services
- Environmental Health and Safety
- Packaging, Office and Lab Supplies
- Engineered Equipment
- Contract Tolling/Manufacturing
- Consultants/Temporary Employees
- Marketing Communications
- Identify, Develop and Lead strategies to reduce or mitigate plant spending
- Improve Procurement efficiency through continued automation and process improvement.
- Develop, track and report key performance metrics to line and senior management.
- Drive transactional automation, expanded use of master data and catalogues, and assure accuracy of purchase order information.
- Maximize value of site contracts. Ensure terms are kept up-to-date.
- Lead and mentor site procurement resources, providing training, direction, feedback, and recognition.
- Work in close cooperation with both commodity and regional buyers to optimize the value to all sites
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- 5+ years experience in sourcing & procurement expertise for a manufacturing organization, with some background in maintenance materials and contractor services
- Demonstrated SAP knowledge
- Highly proficient in Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Demonstrated commitment to compliance with all laws regulations, and business ethics
- Sound written and verbal communications skills with all levels of management
- Manufacturing/business experience, with focus on materials
- Commercial negotiations knowledge, supplier coordination
- Management of other procurement professionals
- Bachelor Degree
