Advanced Process Control Leader - North America

Job Responsibilities:
Provide advanced process control support for multiple North American INVISTA sites as part of corporate reliability group. Facilitate knowledge sharing of best practices between sites. Provide process control expertise to lead or assist sites to significantly enhance plant operation and profitability. Assist / Lead implementation of advanced process control across multiple sites. Develop and maintain a technical network (internal and external to INVISTA). Mentor site technical resources. Develop and maintain technical documents such as technical standards and best practices. Assist with development of maintenance procedures & training programs in area of expertise. Support development and implementation of strategic efforts such as multivariable model-based control, performance supervision and abnormal situation management.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years experience providing engineering in chemical manufacturing or petrochemicals industries
* Ability to travel (25-40%)
* B.S. in Engineering
* To be qualified for this position you must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Preferred skills:
* Applied ASPEN modeling experience
* Applied ABB or Honeywell DCS experience
* 15+ years experience providing control system engineering
* Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
* Multiple years experience in a chemical refining environment
* Knowledge in optimization, dynamic process modeling, model-based control, other advanced process control techniques
* Background in mentoring less experienced technical resources
* Basic knowledge of facility/process design, including engineering & PSM standards
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve process problems
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel) and data analysis software
* Ability to work effectively with all personnel regardless of function/level
* Ability to work in a team environment with operators, mechanics and exempt professionals
* Interest in developing others to allow for transfer of capabilities to the operating and maintenance organizations
* Strong organizational and planning skills
* Fundamental knowledge of cost and capital, including ability to monitor and forecast expenditures
* Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and programs for timely completion
