Job Description
Goals of this position include:
• Drive continuous improvement in service, quality, cost and working capital through lean manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and supplier development.
• Achieve industry leading stock, make to order, and engineer to order product delivery on time and lead time performance.
• Develop operations management team and technical engineering capabilities.
• Participate in the development and execution of the platform’s long range strategic plan.
• Provide means for platform to excel at product innovation.
• Achieve best in class safety performance.
• Ensure environmental and regulatory compliance.
Requirements of this position include:
• 15 (+) years of progressively responsible operations leadership experience encompassing multi-plant management, materials/ sourcing and global supplier development is required.
• Experience in a high mix/low volume discrete manufacturing environment involving electro-mechanical products is a must. International manufacturing experience is preferred, with emphasis on Supplier Development.
• Must have a demonstrated track record of process improvement through implementation of Lean principles in manufacturing, materials/sourcing and related functions.
• Prior experience as a Plant Manager with P&L responsibility is preferred. Shared services operations support experience is a plus.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related field of study is required, MBA is preferred.
Moderate domestic and international travel is required.
