About the Job
Field Service Engineer
The primary responsibility of this position is to install, service, and perform on-site repairs to electrical/electronic equipment, devices and systems manufactured by Hipotronics in response to customer requests. The Field Service Engineer will also instruct customers in maintenance, operation and proper use of the equipment.
The Field Service Engineer position requires approximately 50% travel throughout the US, Canada and Mexico, with overnight trips typically ranging from 2-3 days and in rare cases 2 weeks. For the person that likes to travel and work autonomously, this is an opportunity to see virtually every part of North America and to meet a wide variety of people.
Additional requirements are:
- Must have Associates Degree in technical field (ASEE or BSEE preferred)
- Background or relevant coursework in high voltage test or metrology is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office Required
- Strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving abilities;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively interact and maintain effective relationships with other employees;
- Ability to work independently;
- Ability to understand and practice standard safety procedures;
- Must be currently eligible for employment in the United States
