Shelter Veterinarian
KITSAP Humane Society
Job Location: Silverdale, WA

Kitsap Humane Society (KHS), a highly progressive open-admission animal welfare organization located in Silverdale, Washington, just one hour from Seattle and close to the beautiful Olympic Mountains, seeks to hire a full-time Shelter Veterinarian to join us in our mission and vision to provide high quality care in a progressive animal welfare environment.

KHS takes in over 5,000 animals a year (including stray, owner surrender, and transfer animals) while maintaining a remarkable lives-saved rate of 96%, thanks in part to the outstanding medical care we provide to our animals. In addition to caring for our shelter pets, KHS also has an active low cost spay neuter program, performing over 2,000 procedures a year for our low income community. KHS operates a comprehensive shelter program with behavior, foster and animal control services.

KHSs Veterinary Services Department consists of 13.0+ full-time equivalent employees, including three full-time Veterinarians and several contracted part-time Vets.
