Overview
The H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a Receiving/Purchasing Agent for it's Procurement Division. Applicants must have strong mechanical knowledge or construction experience. The Receiving/Purchasing Agent will process and coordinate activities in the purchasing and distributing of raw materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies in the organization by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Collaborate with procurement staff.
-Receipting of all packing slips for Materials Divisions.
-Indexing of all packing slips.
-Comparing purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists.
-Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, etc.
-Assisting in warehouse when required:
- Receiving and signing for deliveries.
- Unloading deliveries from trucks.
-Receives purchase requests from the field.
-Obtains authorization from designated supervisor.
-Locates and purchases materials and parts for all business segments.
-Demonstrates cost consciousness and gets multiple quotes before ordering to ensure best prices for purchases.
-Provides quality customer service when interacting with vendors, clients, and customers - both internal and external.
-Track purchases, costs, prices, and inventory utilizing various software's.
-Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Equipment/Computer Skills Knowledge of Lotus 1-2-3, and WordPerfect. Ability to use standard office typewriter, copier, calculator, fax, and printer.
